What Is Google Chrome?

Web browsers are increasingly fighting over your attention to get you to notice them. The iconic battle between Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox has been raging for the last 4 years. Safari has also tried to climb on to the main stream but is very far behind its leading competitors. Earlier this week Google has also joined in the fun and released Chrome. Don’t think rims on your car wheels. Think of it as a serious alternative to both IE and Firefox.
What Makes Google Chrome Unique?
So what does Chrome have that others do not. In one word SPEED. The WebKit based browser is amazingly fast and tears through the heaviest web applications. WebKit is not new to the browser world and is used in Safari. Google Chrome’s clean user interface, intuitive design and features and underlying technology will help it hit the ground running. According to the Google engineers the design was driven by the ‘simple yet powerful’ approach that drives the Google search engine.

Adobe Does TV

Adobe has been on quite a roll lately. First Adobe launched a free, web version of Photoshop and now a video portal, imaginatively named Adobe TV. At the moment there are a few training and demo videos on the website. But it has potential to host a whole lot of different media content. At the moment all the videos are classified in to 4 broad categories of Photographers, Designers, Video Professionals, Developers and Programs.
Adobe TV is based on Air platform which is a promising technology quickly rising through the ranks with significant backing from Adobe. In a page from YouTube Adobe allows videos to be embeded. The videos can also be linked to directly. TechCrunch has covered Adobe TV in more details and names a few of the partners. “Companies that are offering content for the player include CBS, MTV Networks, Universal Music Group, PBS, CondéNet, and Scripps Networks. Adobe Media Player offers playback of streamed, downloaded or locally-stored video in Adobe Flash and can be viewed in 1080p, 720p or 480i resolutions. iTunes style the player allows users to subscribe to television shows and other content and automatically receive new episodes when they are available.”
YouTube Insight Gives Analytics For Video Viewers

Last week YouTube has introduced analytics for YouTube videos. The analytics feature allows you to look at performance and statistics giving you a more detailed look of how popular your video is in different geographical locations. It also shows how you can effectively target your advertising campaigns on YouTube. The official announcement describes the reason behind YouTube Insight.
