Rumors were circling the internet that Yahoo! was going to fire about 1,000 employees. TechCrunch and number of other blogs were reporting on the fate of Yahoo! employees for some time. Some of the top VP’s have already jumped ship in the past few days. Now several sources are saying that the Yahoo! Design team has been let go. The Yahoo Design website has been redirected already. The people page of the group returns a 404 error as seen below. The brilliant minds who had brought forward a bunch of new and innovative changes that made Yahoo! a true web giant are now up for grabs by eager start-ups.
